Ingredients:

  • 5 ml salt
  • 175 g butter
  • 225 g sultanas
  • 2 medium sizes eggs
  • 4 tbsp milk to to glaze.

Directions:

  1. Heat the oven to 220 c , 425 f ,gas 7 .sift flour and baking powder and salt into bowl,.cut the butter into the flour and then rub in until the the mix is like breadcrumbs.Stir in the sugar with sultanans and half the almonds.,Beat in the eggs adding 30ml milk.Make a well in center.Add the dry mix all to a dought with you hands .
  2. Knead very lighty.roll out 5cm cutter put onto baking tray .Glaze with the egg and sultanans and nuts.Bake for 15-20 min Serve warm
