Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp milk

Directions:

  1. Sift together: flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  2. Cream together: butter or margarine, shortening, sugar and vanilla.
  3. Blend in egg.
  4. Stir in dry ingredients.
  5. Blend in the milk.
  6. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake in 350° oven for 10-12 minutes.
