Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 2 to 3 tbsp cold milk

Directions:

  1. Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in enough milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, to moisten dry ingredients. Turn onto a lightly floured surface, and knead gently to form a smooth ball. Chill dough 1 hour.
