30 Minutes Shrimp And Sausage Gumbo

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in large skillet on medium high heat.
  2. Stir in flour.
  3. Cook for 4 minutes OR until golden brown, stirring frequently.
  4. Add green pepper, onion, celery and garlic.
  5. Cook 2 to 3 minutes OR until crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add sausage, tomatoes, broth, okra, bay leaf and thyme.
  7. Stir until well blended.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  9. Bring to a boil.
  10. Reduce heat to medium low, cover.
  11. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  12. Stir in shrimp.
  13. Cook 5 minutes OR until shrimp are opaque, stirring frequently.
  14. Remove and discard bay leaf.
  15. Spoon over hot rice.
