2012 Holiday Make-Ahead Old Fashioned Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Prepare Mueller's elbows as directed on box and drain.
  2. Divide in 2 large 1/2 pans.
  3. Melt butter in medium saucepan.
  4. Blend in flour, salt, dry mustard and pepper.
  5. Stir in milk.
  6. Stirring constantly, cook until smooth.
  7. Reduce heat.
  8. Reserve 2 cups of cheese.
  9. Stir in remaining cheeses until melted.
  10. Add half to each dish of elbows.
  11. Sprinkle each with 1 cup of reserved cheese.
  12. Cover both with foil and refrigerate for next day baking.
  13. Sprinkle each with 1/2 cup bread crumbs.
  14. Bake uncovered in 350 degree oven 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
