1960 Wonderfully Simple Oven Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (can use 1/8 teaspoon)

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in iron skillet or baking dish
  2. In bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika
  3. Coat chicken well with mixture
  4. Place skin side down in butter
  5. Arrange in the large black iron skillet*
  6. Bake in 425 degree oven for 25 minutes
  7. Turn chicken and bake 25 minutes longer
  8. *NOTE: Can be baked in another pan, but the black iron is best! :)
