Ingredients:

  • 7/8 cup buttermilk (or 3 tbsp dry powder and 7/8 cups water)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tbsp butter or 1 1/2 tbsp margarine
  • 3 tbsp molasses
  • 1/3 cup cornmeal
  • 1 2/3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in bread pan, select Light Crust setting and press Start.
  2. After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack and allow to cool 1 your before slicing.
