Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 oz dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water with the sugar salt and oil. Add flour and mix. Let rise 45 minutes, covered. Turn out onto floured board and knead 5 minutes, adding flour as needed.
  2. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter.Place on greased baking sheet or in greased iron skillet. Let rest 15-20 minutes. Bake in 350°F oven about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Keep checking as oven temps do vary.
