Winter Pork Chops

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/8 cup craisins , optional
  • 2 cups apple juice

Directions:

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet.
  2. Add pork chops.
  3. Season pork chops with salt and cinnamon (just like salt& pepper) on each side.
  4. Lightly brown the chops then remove to a platter.
  5. Add onions to skillet and cook until tender.
  6. Add apple juice, rice mix and seasoning packet from mix.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Add pork chops and the juices from the platter back to the skillet.
  9. If using the craisins, add here.
  10. Cover and reduce heat to a simmer.
  11. Cook for 20-25 minutes.
  12. Sprinkle the top with cheddar cheese, cover and cook for 5 minutes more or until most of the juice is absorbed.
