Victorian House Caramel Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 tbsp karo syrup
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Melt butter, brown sugar and syrup in small pan; whisk until sugar is melted.
  2. Pour in a 9x11 casserole pan.
  3. Slice the bread into 1 slices.
  4. Place the bread on the butter mixture.
  5. Lightly beat the eggs and milk with the vanilla and pour over bread.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  7. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
  8. Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  9. Serve with fruit, powdered sugar, or maple syrup.
