Tomato Cabbage Soup

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onions
  • 2 (14 oz) cans tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced carrots
  • 1/4-1/2 cup chili sauce (depending on whether you like it spicy!)
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 8 cups water
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp basil

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in large pot.
  2. Saute onions and celery until soft.
  3. Add remaining ingredients.
  4. Bring to a boil, stirring often.
  5. Cover and boil slowly until veggies are tender.
  6. Enjoy!
