Ingredients:

  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 80 g sugar
  • 2 medium apples
  • 2 dcl heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Directions:

  1. 1) Combine in the bowl 200 g of flour , 100 g butter and 1 egg slightly beaten. Mix them well and work into dough until smooth.
  2. 2) Using the rolling pin, roll it very thin and transfer into the pie dish (thinner, the better).
  3. 3) Peel, core and slice the apples very thin spreading them over the dough in the dish while arranging them in the way that one slice is half overlapping the next.
  4. 4) In a bowl, combine 2 dcl whipping cream (do not whip it) , 80 grams of sugar, 2 egg yolks, 1 tsp vanila essence or vanilla sugar and 1 tea.
  5. Spoon of corn starch and mix them all together gently.
  6. 5) Spread the cream sauce over the sliced apples.
  7. 6) Bake in oven at 200 degrees Celsius for approximately 45 minutes till it gets light golden brown.
