Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°.
  2. Arrange lemons and onions in a 9-by-13-inch glass baking dish.
  3. Dot with butter; add wine and 1/4 cup cold water.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped thyme; season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bake until onions are soft and translucent, about 40 minutes.
  6. Remove baking dish from oven.
  7. Arrange fish fillets over lemons and onions.
  8. Season fillets with salt and pepper.
  9. Scatter thyme sprigs over fish.
  10. Baste fish with a little cooking liquid.
  11. Bake until fish is just opaque and cooked through 16 to 18 minutes.
  12. Do not overcook.
  13. Serve fish with cooked onions ands lemons.
