Texas Baked Sweet Onions

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Slice onions and cut each slice in half.
  3. Sauté onion slices in butter until crisp-tender then transfer to lightly greased rectangular baking dish.
  4. Combine soup, half-and-half, salt and pepper then pour mixture over onions.
  5. Sprinkle cheese evenly over sauce and arrange bread slices on top and brush with 3 tablespoons butter.
  6. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
