Ingredients:

  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Directions:

  1. In large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook 5 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high and add ground beef and chili powder.
  2. Cook 5 minutes, until meat is no longer pink.
  3. Dran fat.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, green chiles, sugar, salt and pepper. Increase heat to high ; simmer 5 minutes, until thickened.
  5. Serve on soft hamburger buns with sweet pickles.
