Ingredients:

  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 cup flour
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs, milk, and vanilla. Add salt, flour, and baking powder. Makes a thick dough. Roll dough to about 1/4 inch thick on floured wax paper. Cut with biscuit or cookie cutters. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 - 10 minutes (6 minutes for smaller cookies). Cookies are done when they are just beginning to brown around the bottom edges.
