  1. Noodle Kugel
  2. 8 ounces wide egg noodles
  3. 1 cup dark raisins
  4. 5 large eggs
  5. 1 cup sour cream
  6. 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted, cooled
  7. 1/3 cup sugar
  8. 4 cups whole milk
  9. 3 cups cornflakes, coarsely crushed
  10. 1/4 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
  11. Preheat oven to 350F. Butter 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass baking dish.
  12. Spread uncooked noodles over bottom of prepared dish and sprinkle
  13. With raisins. Whisk eggs, sour cream, butter and sugar in large
  14. Bowl until smooth. Whisk in milk and pour mixture over noodles.
  15. Let kugel stand 5 minutes.
  16. Mix cornflakes and brown sugar in bowl; sprinkle evenly over kugel.
  17. Bake kugel until set in center, about 1 hour. Cut kugel into squares.
  18. Serve warm or at room temperature.
