Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Remove outer, wilted leaves from sprouts, trim, and score deeply without totally halving.
  2. Roughly chop slices of bacon.
  3. Heat 2 or so tablespoons of olive oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Toss in chopped bacon and cook until crisp.
  4. Toss in brussels sprouts and cook 2-3 minutes. Add chicken stock, stirring to loosen any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Add brown sugar and stir well to dissolve.
  5. Reduce heat to medium and allow to gently simmer 12-15 minutes or until brussels sprouts are tender and liquid has reduced to a glaze.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy.
