Sugar Coated Walnuts

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups walnuts (halves) or 3 1/2 cups pecans

Directions:

  1. Stir together 1st 3 ingredients until sugar melts.
  2. Cook to soft ball stage (236 degrees).
  3. Add 1 tsp of vanilla.
  4. Mix till mixture begins to thicken.
  5. Add 3 1/2 C walnuts or pecans stir till coated.
  6. Turn out on greased platter or cookie sheet till cool.
  7. When cool enough to touch break them in pieces.
