Spicy Pumpkin Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 1 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups pumpkin pulp ( not pie filling)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup walnuts
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Mix all together in 1 bowl.
  2. Pour into greased 91/2 x13 x 2 pan.
  3. To make 24 cup cakes, spoon batter into paper lined muffin pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes .
  5. Less time for cup cakes, of course.
