Spicy Pepper Steak

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs round steaks
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 cups red peppers
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup water
  • salt , to taste
  • pepper , to taste

Directions:

  1. Cut beef across grain into thin strips.
  2. In a bowl combine soy sauce, garlic, paprika, ginger, and oil.
  3. Add the beef to bowl and stir to coat.
  4. Cover bowl and let it stand 30 min at room temperature.
  5. In the meantime, slice vegetables.
  6. In a large wok or frying pan, heat 1 Tbsp oil.
  7. Add the beef and cook over med/high heat until browned.
  8. Remove meat.
  9. Add vegetables (except tomatoes) to the pan.
  10. Cook vegetables until tender crisp.
  11. Return meat to the pan with the vegetables.
  12. Mix cornstarch with water and add to pan.
  13. Cook until thickened.
  14. Add the tomatoes and heat through.
  15. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  16. Serve over cooked rice or noodles.
