Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Put 2 tbs of oil and 2 tbs of flour and mix them on medium heat; set them aside when they are caramel brown.
  2. Chop 2 onions.
  3. Cook onions and okra if desired in 2 tbs oil.
  4. Add tomatoes.
  5. Add 8 cups water.
  6. Add dash of garlic powder, salt, red pepper and or hot sauce.
  7. Add meat.
  8. Add oil and flour mixture.
  9. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  10. Make rice.
  11. Add Bay seasoning and file.
  12. Put rice in bowl, put some gumbo in it and stir.
