Spiced Apple and Raisin Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 tsp clove
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Directions:

  1. In medium skillet, cook apple over medium low heat in butter until tender; stir in brown sugar, raisins, cinnamon and cloves.
  2. In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; blend well then stir into apple mixture, stirring constantly.
  3. Serve warm alongside poultry or over ice cream.
