Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar ( used
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Mix shortening, sugar, and egg thoroughly.
  3. Blend flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Stir into wet mixture.
  5. Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
  6. Mix 1 tbsp sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  7. Roll dough balls into sugar cinnamon mixture.
  8. Place 2'' apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
