Slice And Bake Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups plus 6 tsp flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup plus 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt;set aside.
  2. In a large bowl combine margarine, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla;beat until creamy.
  3. Beat in eggs.
  4. Gradually add flour mixture;mix well
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  6. Divide dough into quarters.
  7. On waxed paper shape each quarter into a 9 inch roll.
  8. Roll in waxed paper.
  9. Refrigerate up to 1 week or freeze up to 8 weeks
  10. To bake, preheat oven to 375*.
  11. Cut each roll into 1 inch slices.
  12. Cut each slice into 4 pieces.
  13. Place on cookie sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes.
  14. Makes 12 dozen.
