Simple Spiced Pecans

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spread: pecans on ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake 5-6 minutes just until begin to smell.
  4. Cool. Set aside.
  5. Toss: the sugar, salt, and cayenne in small bowl. Set aside.
  6. Combine in large saucepan: oil, honey, and water. Heat to boil, stirring constantly.
  7. Add nuts, reduce heat. Stir 3-5 minutes until liquid is evaporated.
  8. Toss with sugar mixture, quickly coating evenly. Spread on cookie sheet to cool completely.
