Simple Country Blackberry Cobbler

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups blackberries
  • 1 1/2 cups cream
  • 1/4 cup merlot
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ginger

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan add blackberries, cream,wine one cup of the sugar, the extract and spices and bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer until reduced, stirring often.
  2. Pour berries unto bottom of a greased casserole dish.
  3. Mix together remaining cup of sugar with flour and milk and spread over top of berry mixture.
  4. Bake for 1 hour on 400 degrees or until bubbly and top is golden brown.
