Simple and Easy Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and add sugar until the mixture is fluffy.
  2. Beat in the egg and almond extract.
  3. Blend in flour.
  4. Chill dough for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out onto floured working space until dough is 1/8 of an inch think.
  6. Use your favorite cookie cutters or if you are able, free hand shapes.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 12 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool and eat as is or frost cookies with your favorite frosting and candies.
