Shrimp in beer

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups beer , canadian lager recomended.
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 2 tbsp parsley

Directions:

  1. Bring beer& bay leaf to a boil.
  2. Add shrimp cook 5-6 minutes,or till pink.
  3. Pick out& set shrimp aside.
  4. Clean scum- if any- off of the beer.
  5. Boil till beer is reduced to 1 c.
  6. In large skillet melt butter, add flour, and mix into uniform paste.
  7. Add reduced beer, cook& whisk untill thick.
  8. Add cream, cayenne pepper, salt& pepper and parsley.
  9. Return shrimp to pan and heat through serve over crusty french bread.
  10. Makes lots of yummy sauce.
