Shredded Cabbage With Bacon And Onions

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of cabbage outside leaves removed
  • 1 lb bacon
  • kosher salt black pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Cut cabbage in half and cook in rapidly boiling water for 5 minutes
  2. Remove and cool in ice bath if possible
  3. Slice onions in strips
  4. Cut bacon in 1/2 to 1 inch pieces
  5. Slice cabbage in strips
  6. Heat wok or fry pan
  7. Add bacon until almost crisp
  8. Add onion , garlic and cabbage
  9. Cook on high stirring almost constantly
  10. Serve hot on platter...garnish with cherry tomtoes cooked for a minute in same pot to get the flavor but should look bright and fresh
