Ingredients:

  • 9 slices bread
  • 2 lbs sausages
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 (8 oz) milk
  • 1 (8 oz) heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 dash nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Place bread in well-buttered 9x13 inch casserole dish to cover bottom. Brown sausage, drain and mix in mustard. Place sausage evenly over bread., sprinkle cheese over sausage (can stop here and freeze). Combine eggs, milk, cream and seasonings. Pour over casserole. Bake in oven at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until set in middle.
