Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Pare, core and quarter apples, then halve quarters crosswise to make 7 cups of chunks.
  2. Place in large bowl.
  3. Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons Flour, nutmeg and cinnamon.
  4. Sprinkle over apples and toss to coat well.
  5. Spoon into shell.
  6. Drizzle lemon juice.
  7. Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup flour for topping.
  8. Cut in butter.
  9. Sprinkle over apples to cover top.
  10. Slide pie into a heavy paper bag to cover pie loosely; fold over open end twice and fasten with paper clips.
  11. Place on large cookie sheet.
  12. Bake at 425 for 1 hour.
  13. Split bag open. Remove pie.
