Ruby- Red -raspberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 3- packages ( 10 oz each) frozen raspberries in syrup, ...defrosted.........
  • 1/2- cup sugar
  • 1/3- cup chambord liqueur.......( black raspberry liqueur)
  • 1/2- pint of fresh raspberries

Directions:

  1. In a food processor with a metal blade , process raspberries and sugar until pureed
  2. Place a medium- mesh strainer over bowl
  3. Push raspberries through the strainer as much juice and pulp as possible, scrping the bottom often
  4. Discard the seeds
  5. Stir in the chambord liqueur
  6. Refrigerate until ready to serve
  7. Sauce can keep up to 2 weeks in refrigerator
  8. Use fresh raspberries prior to serving just stir them in the sauce.......
  9. Makes 2 1/4 cups.............
