Ingredients:

  • 2 cups vinegar
  • brandy (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mash berries; add vinegar and let stand for 4 days, stirring daily.
  2. Strain; to each cup of liquid add one cup of sugar.
  3. Bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes.
  4. Strain and if desired, add 2 ounces brandy per quart of finished vinegar and bottle.
  5. Store in refrigerator.
