  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In heavy skillet, cook ground beef with salt until browned, stirring to break into small pieces. With a slotted spoon, transfer to large bowl. Add hash browns, soup, sour cream, cheese and onion. Mix well. Spread in 13 x 9 x 2- inch baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes. Sprinkle French-fried onions on top. Bake for 15 minutes, or until bubbly.
