  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Melt butter in large, shallow roasting pan in oven. Remove. Stir in seasoning packet. Add cereal and nuts. Mix until all pieces are coated. Bake 45 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes. Add beef jerky and cheese. Stir to coat. Bake an additional 15 minutes. Spread on absorbent paper to cool.
  2. Variation: You can add 6 cups popped corn.
