Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup oil
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • additional nuts

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350*.
  2. Spray two loaf pans with no stick spray.
  3. In a med.
  4. Bowl combine 1st 7 ingredients, set a side.
  5. In a large bowl mix pumkin, oil, eggs, and sugar.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
  8. By hand stir in nuts and raisins.
  9. Divide batter between two loaf pans.
  10. Bake for 50-55 min.
  11. Cool for 15 min.
  12. Remove from pans cool on wire rack.
  13. ORANGE GLAZE: combine sugar, orange peel and juice in a small bowl.
  14. Stir with spoon.
  15. Spoon over top off cooled loaves letting excess run down sides.
  16. Sprinkle with nuts and orange peel.
