Polynesian Pork Steaks

Ingredients:

  • 1 (4 3/4 oz) jar plum baby food
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 dash pepper

Directions:

  1. Trim fat from steaks.
  2. In large skillet cook the fat until you get a small amount accumulated, discard the rest of the trimmings.
  3. Brown steaks in the hot fat.
  4. As they are browning season generously with salt.
  5. Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over steaks.
  6. Cover, and simmer 35 to 40 minutes or until meat is tender and done.
  7. Remove meat to a warm platter, spoon sauce over them and serve.
