Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. -preheat oven to 375.F-
  2. In a large frying pan, brown the sausage with the onion and green pepper. Drain off fat.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon berad crumbs.
  4. Spread each of 3 sheets of phylo dough with butter. sprinkle with bread crumbs. Stack them.
  5. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Place 1/2 slice (cut into triangles) Mozzarella cheese onto one corner of the dough/ Top with 1/6 of the meat mixture.
  6. Fold phylo dough lengthwise over to cover the meat filling. Fold up flag style to make a trianglular packet.
  7. Brush with more butter. Place on baking sheet. Repeat with remaining phylo and filling to make 6 turnovers. Discard milky butter solids.
  8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
