Pineapple Pound Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cream sugar, shortening and butter.
  2. Add eggs, one at at time, blending well after each addition.
  3. Add baking powder to the flour and mix into the batter 1/2 cup at a time mixing well after each addition.
  4. Add milk, vanilla and pineapple with juice to batter and blend well.
  5. Pour the batter into a well greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.
  6. Place in a cold oven; set oven to 325 degrees and bake for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
