Peppermint Liqueur

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 2 1/2 cups brandy
  • 3 drops green food coloring (optional)

Directions:

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Stir in the peppermint oil and green food coloring if using.
  3. Allow to cool slightly before stirring in brandy.
  4. Pour into a bottle and seal.
  5. Tastes best after a couple of weeks.
