Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or 1 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugars.
  2. Add eggs and mix.
  3. Add salt, baking soda, and cinnamon and mix well.
  4. Add flour gradually and mix.
  5. Add oatmeal gradually and mix. Add raisins or chips and mix well.
  6. Chill dough for 1 hour.
  7. Break off into small pieces and roll into balls. Flatten with glass dipped in butter (to make sugars stick) and sugar.
  8. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
