Pecan Pie  Bars

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup pecan pieces

Directions:

  1. Mix sugar, margarine, 1 t. vanilla, and 1 egg.
  2. Stir in flour and press into
  3. Bottom and 1/2 inch up sides of ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 pan.
  4. Bake until edges
  5. Are brown at 350 (about 10-15 minutes). Mix brown sugar, corn syrup,
  6. Vanilla, and eggs.
  7. Stir in pecans and pour over crust and bake 25-30
  8. Minutes.
  9. Loosen edges from pan, let cool and cut into bars.
