Peanut Butter Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (17-1/2 oz) peanut butter cookie mix
  • 1/2 cup baking cocoa
  • 1 egg
  • frosting:
  • 2 cups plus 2 tbsp confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 cup baking cocoa

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine cookie mix and cocoa. Beat in chocolate syrup, butter and egg until combined. Stir in nuts.
  2. Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 28-32 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine frosting ingredients until smooth. Spread over brownies. Cut into squares. Yield: 2 dozen.
