Palm Springs Parsley Punch (Tom Pizzica)

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 small bunch fresh parsley sprigs
  • 1/4 cup vodka
  • 1/4 cup gin
  • ice cubes , for serving

Directions:

  1. Bring the sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan over high heat and simmer until reduced by 1/4. Add the parsley and let steep for at least 30 minutes, then strain and refrigerate the syrup until ready to use.
  2. To make the cocktail, pour 1/2 cup parsley syrup with the vodka, gin, lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain the cocktail into pint glasses filled to the brim with ice cubes.
  3. This is a unique take on the classic white lady cocktail. It's the perfect summers eve cocktail when the grill is fired up.
