Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 2/3 cup chopped onion
  • 4 -5 garlic cloves, chopped as finely as you prefer (optional)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp dry milk
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp yeast

Directions:

  1. Measure and add liquid ingredients to the bread pan.
  2. Measure and add dry ingredients (except yeast) to the bread pan.
  3. Use your finger to form a well (hole) in the flour where you will pour the yeast. Yeast must NEVER come into contact with a liquid when you are adding ingredients. Measure the yeast and carefully pour into the well.
  4. Close up bread machine.
  5. Choose the basic setting that most machines have - it's the three hour setting on mine.
  6. I always use the light crust color because the bread comes out quite a bit softer.
