Old Fashion Lemonade Concentrate

  1. Heat the 2 1/2 c Water and sugar till the sugar dissolves.
  2. Cool.
  3. Grate 2 Tbsp of peel from the oranges.
  4. Squeeze juice from the oranges and lemons.
  5. Add juices and peel to cool syrup; pour over mint leaves if used.
  6. Cover and steep for 1 hour.
  7. Strain into jars; cover and refrigerate.
  8. To serve, mix equal parts fruit syrup and water.
  9. Serve over ice.
  10. Garnish with fruit slices and mint leaves, if desired.
