Ingredients:

  • 4 cups diced okra
  • 3 medium tomatoes
  • 3 slices fried bacon
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • peel an chopp tomatoes
  • in a pan of boiling water put the tomatoes
  • then take out and put in cold water
  • now they can be peeled easly

Directions:

  1. Crumble bacon
  2. Put okra,onions,green pepper and garlic into a skillet in bacon drippings..cook till tender. add tomatoes and cook slowly for 30 minutes.
  3. Stir frequently season to taste
  4. Sprinkle with bacon and serve
  5. Makes 5 servings
