Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cups oat bran
  • 1/4 cups flax meal
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar , packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cups walnuts

Directions:

  1. The Best Light Recipe p. 307, replace wheat bran with 3/4 cup oat bran and 1/2 cup flax meal, add 1/2 cup toasted chopped walnuts.
