Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 egg whites beaten until stiff
  • 1-1/4 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped pecans

Directions:

  1. Sift flour, baking powder, sugar and salt together in medium bowl.
  2. Mix beaten egg yolks, milk and butter then add to dry ingredients.
  3. Stir lightly until mixed then bake in a hot waffle iron.
  4. Sprinkle nuts over top and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
